Energy Drunk

Sharp. Crazy sharp. Like a lemon knife slashing your mouth..

But a sharp knife of course, not floppy lemon pith. Perhaps unless it were frozen.

People forget nowadays, but (over) a decade ago when energy drinks were hitting the UK market.. just like now, there were high end and a slew of dodgy low end copies like DT and Red Devil (Side note, I remember once being refused sale of a Red Devil drink.. being only 9 or 10 at the time, which is a bit mad).

The flavour of the time for shoddy 10p cans was often citrus, and tasted exactly like this. I've fought for years to forget that horrid flavour.. almost medicinal. If your medicine was a caffeinated drink.

Then again, I keep coming back to the thought that if something tastes like what it says on the tin then it deserves respect. This drink is described as citrus flavour and it definitely is, so for that I'll give it a couple of points.
