Energy Drunk

Finally! My childhood dream!

Picture a 6 year old version of myself, Red Devil has just been released. An exciting devilish character design on the can (different to this modern one). I walk into the shop and demand to buy it.. the shop owner refuses me for not being old enough.

Now, whether or not that was a responsible thing to do isn't for me to say, but I'm pretty sure they were wrong to not have served me. That said it's definitely not meant for children.

Anyhow, I finally got to try it after all these long years and I must admit I'm pretty disappointed. It has a very strange colour which, I realise is supposed to be a devil red but it looks more like bloody urine (see picture). Nor does it taste a lot better than a kidney infection. It has a strange jeigermeister style herby berry flavour, which to be fair I can imagine grows on you after a while.

Doing a little research I see that it is apparently the number 1 energy drink in Russia, and supposedly number 2 in the UK although I can confidently say that that's a heavy helping of bullshit. I shall edit wikipedia accordingly. I, Keyboard Warrior!
