Energy Drunk

The majority of Rockstar drinks I've had have been pretty disappointing..

Compared to their awesome packaging and I've thought against buying anymore - until I saw this Zero version.

At 20kcal, it's not quite 'Zero', but we'll it slide. I couldn't work out what colour the liquid was, so I poured a little out and was surprised to see a very eerie pastel pink which I find interesting.. along with the flavour. It's supposedly 'fruit punch' flavour, but that doesn't come to mind at all. It has a very strong flavour that I can't quite put my finger on, something along the lines of Skittles, fruit salad sweets or bubble gum drink cartons.

Looking at the ingredients, I realise now that Rockstar's opinion of a fruit punch consists of lemon juice, elderberries and black carrots (true story).

Having said all of that, I find the flavour to be quite nice. It seems to be fizzier than other Rockstar drinks, and low calory is a godsend since the others are ridiculous (e.g. Rockstar Punched, which is 355kcal). Also, just the fact that it's so much better (in almost every way) than the other Rockstar drinks I've had is an achievement in itself, so it gets a decent rating from me.
