Flat as a maple syrup laden pancake. Not a great start to a review, but lets press on.
The colour of the drink is a dark purple which is a nice, unnoticeable (black can lid), touch. The flavour is also very rich and does taste of the intended blueberry, pomegranate and acai berries.
I really wanted to give this a high rating because the flavour is very sumptuous indeed. It's necessary to take a point off simply for the texture.. the unavoidable lack of fizz. If it was completely flat and thicker, it'd pass as a decent energy fruit juice; not that such a thing exists, but it totally should!
Another point is coming off because of the huge diabetic elephant in the room - the fact that this is, by far, the most calorific drink I've come across so far.
Weighing in at not fair off 14% sugar (about 17 teaspoons, fuck me!) and a huge 500ml can, I'm desperate to try and stretch it out.. but with the impotent amount of fizz, it's quite depressing to push on. In fact, these two negative aspects have teamed up to form a negative aspect greater than the sum of their parts.. so I'm taking off another point.
This drink looks so damn cool and could have been so could! But just wasn't. Total disappointment.
EDIT: I was shaking for many hours after drinking this.
